Afterschool and Camp Manager- FT

We are seeking an Afterschool and Camp Manager to plan, coordinate, and oversee educational camps and after-school programs. This role involves managing a budget, developing and meeting revenue goals, supervising staff, marketing programs, creating partnerships, engaging parents, and developing hands-on science programs. Additionally, the position serves as a Floor Manager when needed, supervising staff and public programs on the Museum floor.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and execute educational camps and after-school programs
• Manage program budgets and develop revenue goals
• Supervise camp, after-school, and museum floor staff
• Market programs and create community partnerships
• Engage parents and develop educational, hands-on science programs
• Serve as Floor Manager, overseeing staff and public programs on the Museum floor as needed
• Work holidays, weekends, overnights, and evenings for events and museum activities

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in education, environmental science, biology, or a related field
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a museum, educational camp, or aftercare setting with an emphasis on operations and customer service
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
• Excellent interpersonal, motivational, conflict resolution, and supervisory skills
• Availability to work weekdays, weekends, holidays, and some evenings

Pay

$55,000 per year
