What You'll Be Doing
- Greets participants by name, fosters a welcoming and respectful environment, builds positive relationships as a role model, and communicates professionally with parents or guardians regarding participant experiences, needs, or concerns.
- Maintains clean, organized, and safe program spaces, sets up and tidies activity areas as needed, and supports fellow staff members while contributing to a positive team culture.
- Monitors children's safety, behavior, and well-being throughout program hours, enforces program rules and policies, and responds appropriately to emergencies or incidents.
- Accurately utilizes KidCheck to ensure safe sign-in and sign-out of participants by authorized guardians, reviews participant information including allergies, medical needs, photo permissions, and special accommodations, and maintains paper attendance rosters to track daily participation and ensure required staff-to-participant ratios are met.
- Stays active throughout your shift—you'll be on your feet and moving.
Requirements
- Must hold (or be able to obtain within 90 days of hire) a valid American Red Cross Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED certification – Brushy Creek MUD provides that training at no cost to employees.
- Must be at least 16 years of age.
Schedule
Shift 1: Monday through Friday 2:30 pm to 6:00 pm
