Advanced Urgent Care RN (36 hours Olympia)

About the role

The Advanced Urgent Care RN position at Kaiser Permanente in Olympia, Washington, is a part-time role with 36 hours per week, scheduled evenings. This position operates similarly to a free-standing emergency department, serving all age groups with a wide range of chief complaints.

Responsibilities

• Using the nursing process, assesses and plans care for patients.
• Develops and implements a plan of care for patients, collaborating with healthcare team members.
• Communicates with patients and families about their care and provides ongoing evaluations.
• Teaches and counsels patients and families about their health and treatment plans.
• Affirms patients' psychosocial, cultural, and emotional needs.
• Assesses patient lifestyle risks and integrates preventive care into the care plan.
• Ensures a safe environment for patients and adheres to infection control standards.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
• Registered Nurse License (Washington) required at hire OR Compact License: Registered Nurse required at hire.
• Basic Life Support required at hire.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 6 months of hire.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support required at hire.
• Communication, problem-solving, leadership, and decision-making skills.
• Ambulatory care nursing experience.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Emergency department nursing experience.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support at hire.
