About the role

The Urgent Care division provides urgent medical services to patients primarily with Emergency Severity Indices (ESI) of 4 and 5, with some ESI level 3s as deemed appropriate. The role involves working collaboratively with primary care, emergency care, and specialty providers to deliver rapid and efficient care for minor emergencies and illnesses. Providers must stabilize patients needing a higher level of care while awaiting transport. The position requires rotating shifts among regional Urgent Care locations, with integrated laboratory and X-ray radiology services.

Responsibilities

  • Practice medicine within the scope of license, training, and credentialing.
  • Provide urgent and acute care for minor emergencies and illnesses in a collaborative environment.
  • Perform basic physical exams, including sports and occupational exams.
  • Stabilize patients requiring a higher level of care while awaiting transport.
  • Cover 95% of shifts to ensure proper clinic staffing, including call-outs or unexpected absences.

Requirements

  • Emergency department, urgent care, or primary care experience with substantial acute care exposure.
  • Ability to work efficiently and refer patients appropriately.
  • Shift-based model: 153 shifts per calendar year (12-hour shifts), adjusted by FTE.

    • St. Charles Mountain Clinic (Bend, OR)
