About the role

Advanced Practice Provider II in Oral Maxillofacial Surgery, responsible for patient care, including diagnosis, treatment, education, and referrals in a specialty outpatient setting.

Responsibilities

  • Perform clinical activities such as histories, exams, assessments, and diagnostics.
  • Manage patient care using established protocols, ensuring optimal outcomes.
  • Document health information accurately and clearly.
  • Educate patients and families, promote self-management, and coordinate follow-ups.
  • Train, supervise, and evaluate APP students and healthcare trainees.
  • Serve as a clinical resource and role model for staff and trainees.
  • Participate in professional development, quality improvement, and community outreach.
  • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and organizational standards.
  • Contribute to departmental goals, participate in committees, and support clinical research if applicable.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree or higher in nursing or Physician Assistant program, recognized by accrediting bodies.
  • 3+ years of clinical experience in a similar role and 5+ years overall.
  • Current licensure and certification as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner, including specialty certifications as applicable.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
