Job Description

Facilitate, assist, conduct, and guide business/market activities within the LM Aeronautics Advanced Development Programs Integrated Systems classified portfolio, which includes Collaborative Combat Aircraft development.

  • Communicate to customers and decision makers at multiple levels of the US government, Department of War and other agencies focusing on warfighter requirements, product & technology roadmaps, and investment strategies.
  • Execute customer events and visits to communicate LM Aeronautics messages and build collaborative relationships.
  • Support the following: capture, market development, opportunity qualification, customer relationship management, decision mapping, competitive intelligence, development of position-to-win strategies, customer analysis, competitor assessment, and strategy development.
  • Assist in the coordination of the business area and senior executive customer communications, events, and visits which are associated with new business opportunities.
  • Coordinate with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to navigate complex acquisition environments.
  • Build trusted relationships with U.S. Government customers, senior leaders, and cross-functional teams.
  • Identify and shape new business opportunities, develop capture strategies, and translate customer requirements into actionable business solutions.
  • Quickly grasp technology concepts and translate their value to customers.
  • Adapt to changing business environment and priorities.
  • Work across multiple disciplines to secure new business and strengthen long-term customer partnerships.

Qualifications

  • Program capture campaign management experience OR recent working relationships with customers at Air Force Air Combat Command (ACC), Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC), Air Force Research Lab (AFRL), Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), Naval Operations (OPNAV) N98, Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), or National Aeronautical Space Administration (NASA).
  • Experience working across organizational boundaries and jurisdictions, managing different stakeholder equities, leading customer meetings, and cross-discipline teams in development of customer solutions.
  • US Citizen.
  • Final Secret clearance required.
  • Ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance and access to Special Access Programs.
  • Must be able to travel (domestic) several times monthly.

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills; ability to put thoughts on paper and craft persuasive presentations for senior management.
  • Ability to capitalize on knowledge of the US government contracting processes and acquisition strategies to best meet customer needs with products and mutually beneficial acquisition courses of action.
  • Flexibility to quickly adapt to changing business environment and priorities.
  • Familiarity with DoD acquisition processes and weapons development programs is highly desirable.

Ability to work remotely: Part-time Remote Telework - The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
