About the role
We are seeking a full-time or part-time Adolescent Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join The Hughes Center, a residential treatment and day school setting in Danville, Virginia. This role offers a collegial work environment with strong clinical and administrative support, allowing you to focus on providing high-quality care to adolescent patients while working alongside a collaborative care team. The Hughes Center is a 96-bed child and adolescent residential treatment facility and day school serving ages 13-18 in Danville, Virginia, supporting young men and women diagnosed with intellectual disability and pervasive developmental disorders, including Autism Spectrum Disorder and Asperger Syndrome, helping them develop the skills needed for greater independence through educational, vocational, and therapeutic support.
Responsibilities
- Provide psychiatric mental health care to adolescent patients
- Collaborate with physicians, APPs, and support staff
- Manage day-to-day clinical responsibilities
- Document care
Qualifications
- Board Certified / Board Eligible in Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
- Board Certification in FNP a significant plus
- Active or eligible Virginia license
- PMHNP training from an accredited program required
- Interest in child/adolescent cases involving Autism Spectrum Disorder, intellectual disability, and PDD required
- Meets all credentialing criteria required by participating providers

Pay
Salary $150,000 - $160,000 + benefits, bonuses
Schedule
Monday - Friday, 40 hour work week with some call or PRN weekend coverage
