Admissions Director

We are hiring an Admissions Director to join our team, managing the center customer flow process, referrals, admissions, and post‑admission activities using our Core Operating System (PCC). The role works closely with interdisciplinary teams to meet census goals and ensure high customer, referrer, and payor satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Manage center customer flow process, including community sales, referral management, and admission sign‑in through post‑admission.
• Coordinate customer flow into and through the nursing center with interdisciplinary team and HealthCare Area entities.
• Guide the center sales program to ensure strong satisfaction, market penetration, positive public image, and achievement of QMix and Average Daily Census (ADC) goals.
• Assess inquiries, respond to referrers per protocol, communicate admission decisions, and ensure a positive admission experience for customers and families.
• Provide immediate response to CareLine, phone, fax, and walk‑in inquiries and referrals; notify Administrator, RDSM, and CareLine Manager of barriers.
• Coordinate tours and sales process with customers, families, and referrers, personally or through Admissions Designee.
• Conduct follow‑up on all inquiries not yet converted to admissions.
• Identify, train, and schedule the Center Admissions Team.
• Ensure proper completion, signing, and distribution of paperwork in accordance with Admission Sign‑In policy.
• Meet with families and customers upon admission; prepare rooms and introduce nursing staff.
• Gather and document comprehensive customer data in PCC to enhance placement and coordination.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of medical, social, and financial information related to elder care.
• Collaborate with Administrator/Regional Director of Sales and Marketing and staff to ensure consistent admissions, discharge, and transfer meetings.
• Review performance statistics including customer flow, pending and lost inquiries, denials, hospital discharges, and sales activity.
• Facilitate sales opportunities for referring hospitals by nurturing relationships with physicians, social workers, and discharge planners.
• Stay abreast of services within the center and HealthCare network to serve as liaison for efficient use of care settings.
• Develop and implement long‑range and short‑term sales plans.
• Coordinate and participate in presentations to hospitals, physicians, and other referral sources.
• Prioritize customer service to ensure the highest quality of care in a compassionate atmosphere.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a healthcare setting.
• Ability to adjust work schedule based on the center’s business needs, especially incoming admissions.
• Preferred: Minimum of two (2) years of college education in health care administration, business management, marketing, or public relations.
• Preferred: Proficiency with Microsoft Office (1 year experience).
• Preferred: Customer service experience (1 year).

Pay

Compensation varies based on location, role, skill set, and experience. A reasonable pay scale, including hourly or salary range, is provided as required by law.
