About the role

This is an allocated position for high-end equipment (segment 5+) that exists only when business needs warrant it and must be approved by the Regional Director of Services. The role reports directly to the Site Manager, Site Supervisor, or Assistant Site Manager, depending on site personnel configuration.

Responsibilities

  • Follows Ricoh Service Excellence performance requirements.
  • Performs copy and mail center services, convenience copier fleet management, and various support services.
  • Maintains and operates high-end production equipment, such as roll-fed continuous production systems, including set-up, calibration, and performance.
  • Prepares, inspects, compiles, and assembles projects accurately and in a timely manner to achieve customer satisfaction.
  • Meets deadlines by working at a quick and steady pace while maintaining quality and error-free work.
  • Achieves Time Productive statistics by meeting standards established by the facility.
  • Maintains all required reporting tools.
  • Calibrates equipment to produce likeness in color and quality as required, matching originals.
  • Transfers files electronically by sending files from the network to color equipment.
  • Produces "error-free/perfect work" by demonstrating operational knowledge of duplication equipment.
  • Maximizes print performance by simultaneously performing a minimum of two functions on print equipment.
  • Troubleshoots all hardware and software issues with equipment.
  • Maintains optimal machine performance by correcting simple machine problems (clearing jams, refilling toner, replacing machine oil, etc.) and reporting equipment failures using machine codes.
  • Presents a professional appearance to clients and maintains a clean and organized working area.
  • Maintains and orders inventories of equipment parts in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Meets company attendance standards by reporting to work punctually and working all scheduled hours, including required overtime.
  • Organizes jobs by validating job name and number, reading instructions on the Job Request Form, and organizing supplies.
  • Performs a full range of servicing and repair procedures, including diagnostics, installation, removal, and retrofits on complex office products.
  • Demonstrates required digital competencies associated with assigned products and level assignments.
  • Performs troubleshooting and repairs or replaces equipment components as necessary.
  • Completes technical training on new equipment as assigned.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years of related experience.
  • Experience in a roll-fed printing environment is preferred.
  • Technical aptitude to learn the set-up (including software controls) and operation of complex printing equipment.

Skills

  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Good organizational skills and ability to prioritize.
  • Ability to use, calibrate, and troubleshoot office and complex technical equipment.

Working Conditions

  • Typically an office environment with adequate lighting and ventilation, and a normal range of temperature and noise levels.
  • Work assignments are diversified, requiring interpretation, comprehension, and application of complex material, data, and instructions.
  • Some physical effort required; work is mostly sedentary but involves walking, standing, bending, reaching, lifting, or carrying objects that weigh up to 50 lbs.
  • Moderate dexterity with regular application of basic skills (calculator, keyboard, hand tools, eye/hand coordination).

Pay

Salary range: $19.28 - $31.88 per hour.
