Position
Souhegan High School seeks an Administrative Assistant to the Principal and Dean of Faculty.
Qualifications
- Associate's degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Three to five years of administrative experience, preferably supporting executive-level leadership in an educational or similarly complex environment
- Exceptional organizational, time management, and prioritization skills
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Demonstrated judgment, discretion, and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Proficiency with Google Workspace and ability to learn district software and technology systems
- Ability to build positive, collaborative relationships with students, families, staff, and community members
- Ability to anticipate needs, solve problems, and adapt to changing priorities
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the Principal's calendar, appointments, meetings, and daily schedule
- Attend meetings with the Principal as requested
- Provide administrative support to the Dean of Faculty as needed
- Own the substitute coverage process
- Own and maintain the master building calendar
- Manage all mailroom operations
- Manage all building use and facility scheduling
- Develop, prepare, edit, and distribute school communications and informational materials
- Maintain accurate and timely information on the school's digital signage and other communication platforms
- Resolve routine operational issues independently and coordinate solutions across departments as needed
- Own and manage the substitute coverage process
- Own and maintain the master building calendar
- Manage all building use and facility scheduling
- Communicate effectively and represent the Principal and the school with professionalism and integrity
Physical Requirements
- This position regularly requires standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching
- Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs
