About the role
The Fountain Group is hiring an Administrative Assistant II for a prominent client in Corning, NY. We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented administrative professional who thrives in a fast-paced corporate environment and enjoys supporting multiple teams. This long-term contract position will serve as a floating administrative assistant, providing coverage and support across departments when other administrative staff are out of the office or on leave.
Requirements
- Associate's Degree (AAS) in Business Administration preferred with 2-3 years of administrative experience, OR 1+ years of related administrative experience in lieu of a degree
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including:
- Word
- Excel
- PowerPoint
- Outlook
- Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment
- Comfortable supporting multiple leaders and shifting priorities
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with PeopleSoft
- Experience using Concur for travel and expense reporting
- Previous experience with Corning systems and processes
- Willingness to take on additional responsibilities and adapt to different teams
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to multiple departments, leaders, and project teams
- Manage calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate department activities
- Arrange domestic and international travel and process expense reports
- Create and manage purchase orders using PeopleSoft
- Assist with onboarding activities for new employees
- Prepare presentations, spreadsheets, reports, and other business documents
- Update and maintain SharePoint and Microsoft Teams sites
- Coordinate department meetings, events, and customer visits
- Order office supplies and manage office support functions
- Handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
- Support records management, shipping requests, and special projects as assigned
