Acute Care Advanced Nurse Practitioner

About the role

NHS Ayrshire and Arran is seeking an Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join the Hospital at Night Department. This is a permanent position offering 36 hours per week, rotating between day and night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Integrate into the Acute Care Advanced Practice team, working across medical and surgical boundaries.
• Provide support to medical teams, managing acutely unwell adults.
• Initiate investigations, formulate management plans, and undertake appropriate first-line interventions.
• Develop and deliver innovative solutions to enhance service delivery.

Requirements

• Current NMC registration with a degree-level nursing qualification.
• Extensive post-registration experience in an acute environment.
• Experience of developing and delivering innovative solutions.
• Desirable: Postgraduate Diploma in Advanced Clinical Practice, including nurse independent prescribing qualification.

Qualifications

• Desirable: Postgraduate Diploma in Advanced Clinical Practice, including nurse independent prescribing qualification.
• Support available for academic study towards the above postgraduate qualifications.

Skills

• Ability to develop and deliver innovative solutions.
• Experience in managing acutely unwell adults.

Pay

The pay for this role is based on a full-time contract and must be pro-rated for part-time positions. The salary advertised is subject to change and is based on the minimum salary threshold for sponsorship.
