Acute Care Nurse Practitioner

About the role

We are hiring for a nocturnist position at the University of New Mexico Hospital. This role requires working exclusively overnight shifts and involves providing high-quality, comprehensive medical and post-operative patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, comprehensive medical and post-operative patient care.
• Utilize Cerner EMR systems and Sound’s internal informatics platform.
• Support the rapid response team and attend codes as a courtesy run by the ICU team.
• The hospital has a closed ICU, and our hospitalist team is not responsible for procedures.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree from an accredited nurse practitioner program.
• Active NP license or eligible to become licensed in New Mexico.
• Acute care certification required.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Skills

Comfortable with a nocturnal schedule and ability to deliver exceptional patient care during nighttime hours.
