About the role

The Cash Application Specialist Manager oversees the cash application team, ensuring timely and accurate posting of payments into the Accounts Receivable (A/R) system. Key responsibilities include managing team performance, resolving payment issues, and collaborating with finance teams.

Responsibilities

  • Manage team of Cash Application Specialists
  • Support timely and accurate posting of all third-party and patient payments
  • Resolve payment posting issues, credit balances, refund requests, and other posting function responsibilities
  • Ensure consistent productivity and quality of work in a challenging, fast-paced, and rapidly changing environment
  • Escalated point of contact for any issues
  • Drive a culture of inclusion and engagement through regular team meetings and 1:1s and team building activities

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 5 years of experience in a health care cash posting environment
  • Minimum of 3 years management experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Directly manage cash application team members
  • Conduct performance reviews, provide feedback, and help set professional development goals

Physical Demands

  • Frequent repetitive motions that may include wrists, hands and/or fingers, such as keyboard and mouse usage
  • Frequent stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods of time
  • Frequent computer use
  • Frequent phone and other business machine use
  • Occasional lifting required, up to 20 pounds
