About the role

The Manager of Facility-Based Accounts Receivable will oversee payer-specific hospital AR operations and cash posting functions at Lee Health. Key responsibilities include ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant reimbursement, driving improvements in cash collections, AR performance, and overall revenue cycle efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee Cash Posting and AR Support teams, including leadership of Accounts Receivable Supervisors responsible for daily payer follow-up activities.
  • Manage payments for facility, physician, home health, patient, and other organizational accounts.
  • Use data, performance metrics, and process improvement strategies to reduce AR days, minimize denials, and optimize reimbursement.
  • Collaborate with Revenue Cycle leadership and departments such as Patient Financial Services, Patient Access, HIM, Coding, Contracting, Compliance, Clinical Services, and IT.
  • Develop staff and maintain high standards for accuracy, productivity, and compliance.

Requirements

  • Strong healthcare revenue cycle and facility-based AR experience.
  • Knowledge of cash posting, payment reconciliation, payer follow-up, and banking processes.
  • Experience with clearinghouse and document management systems.
  • Intermediate Excel proficiency required.
  • BOT/automation experience preferred.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing needs.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Experience leading, coaching, and developing teams.

Qualifications

  • Associates degree in business administration or related field required.
  • A minimum of 4 years experience in large multi-campus health systems with extensive knowledge of all revenue cycle functions, compliance, and healthcare regulations.
  • Two years management experience required.
  • Epic experience required.
