About the role

Rothman Orthopaedics is seeking a full-time Accounts Payable Specialist for our Center City Philadelphia office. This is a hybrid position requiring 3 days of onsite work each week.

The Accounts Payable Specialist processes all invoices, ensures prompt payments, performs clerical work, and prepares special projects as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Process and code all vendor invoices and check requests, match approved purchase orders to vendor invoices, and ensure all check requests contain proper documentation.
  • Prepare weekly check runs for payments to vendors.
  • Review general ledger accounts in preparation for month-end.
  • Prepare the Accounts Payable financials for each month by reviewing the check register, wire transactions, and deposits.
  • Update the cash flow book as necessary.
  • Make deposits for incoming checks.
  • Prepare data for monthly sales & use tax filing for Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
  • Reconcile outstanding checks and file unclaimed property reports with various states as required.
  • Organize records for all purchases made on company credit cards.
  • Keep records of all existing leases and ensure items are properly billed.
  • Request bids from companies for pricing of goods and services.
  • Perform weekly filing of documentation.
  • Exemplify the desired culture and philosophies of the organization.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED (minimum education requirement).
  • Five (5) years of related experience required.
  • Sales & Use Tax Filing and Unclaimed Property Filing experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles required.
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Excel and Word required.
  • Intacct Accounting software experience preferred.

Pay

$20.00/hr - $30.00/hr
