Accounting Specialist (Ar/Ap)

About the role

American Marine Canvas & Upholstery delivers 3D patterned custom canvas and upholstery for luxury yachts across South Florida. This role supports financial operations by managing accounts receivable and accounts payable processes, ensuring accurate invoice processing, payment tracking, vendor management, and account reconciliation while maintaining compliance with financial policies. The position works under the Accounts Payable/Receivable Supervisor and utilizes ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, and QuickBooks to streamline financial reporting and resolve disputes efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Process invoices and track payments accurately
• Manage vendor accounts and customer billing
• Perform account reconciliations and maintain detailed records
• Generate financial reports to support management decisions
• Resolve billing disputes and manage escalation when necessary
• Ensure compliance with corporate financial policies and procedures
• Enter and update financial data within ERP systems

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in accounts receivable/accounts payable (preferred)
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (preferred)
• Proficient in invoice processing, reconciliation, and ERP software (SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks)
• Strong skills in Excel, attention to detail, and effective communication
• Excellent time management and problem-solving abilities
