Accounting Clerk

Responsibilities

• Resolve routine account coding issues by reviewing transactions and providing clear guidance on proper budget allocation.
• Process payroll accurately and on schedule while maintaining organized supporting documentation.
• Examine cash receipt and accounts payable activity to verify entries are posted to the appropriate budget accounts.
• Respond to staff and member inquiries by preparing giving statements and explaining how contributions are reflected in financial records.
• Produce budget balance reports for staff and members as requested, ensuring information is timely and dependable.
• Transfer cash receipts information from Realm into the organization’s accounting system with close attention to accuracy.
• Support the rollout of Realm Financial by assisting with financial data processes and related accounting tasks during the transition.
• Perform data entry and invoice handling activities that help maintain complete and current accounting records.

Requirements

• Experience working with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Ability to process invoices, enter financial data, and maintain accurate records.
• Familiarity with payroll administration and routine accounting support tasks.
• Working knowledge of QuickBooks or similar accounting software.
• Strong attention to detail when reviewing postings, balances, and transaction coding.
• Able to communicate clearly with staff and members regarding financial questions and statements.
• Comfortable preparing reports and organizing information for budget tracking and review.
