Accounting Clerk

Responsibilities

• Process incoming invoices accurately and enter financial data into accounting records in a timely manner.
• Aid with both payables and receivables activities, including tracking outstanding items and updating account information.
• Utilize QuickBooks to maintain organized financial records, review transactions, and support routine accounting operations.
• Offer administrative and transactional support to the audit team by gathering documentation and preparing records for review.
• Reconcile accounting information to identify discrepancies and assist in resolving open issues efficiently.
• Manage high-volume data entry while ensuring accuracy and consistency across financial documents.
• Organize and maintain invoice files, payment records, and other supporting documentation for accounting activities.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or clerical finance experience, or recent academic training in accounting with relevant practical exposure.
• Working knowledge of QuickBooks in an internship or academic setting, with careful attention to detail.
• Experience supporting accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Strong data entry skills with careful attention to accuracy and deadlines.
• Familiarity with invoice handling, recordkeeping, and financial document organization.
• Ability to support audit-related tasks by locating, reviewing, and preparing documentation.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work through a large volume of pending work in an organized manner.
