About the role
The Accounting Administrator II position plays a crucial role in managing the Department's financial accounting functions, including general ledger activities and cash management. Responsibilities
- Directs and controls the Department's financial accounting functions, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Develops and delivers training for both Division staff and other Department personnel.
- Manages complex activities, including the preparation of state and federal financial statements and reports.
- Ensures compliance with fiscal policies and procedures, maintaining fiscal stewardship.
- Manages staff selections, staff development, and performance evaluations within the group.
- Coordinates with cash management functions, ensuring that accrued expenditures align with cash disbursements.
Requirements
Applicants must meet the Minimum Qualifications as outlined in the Classification Specification. These requirements include a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, and three years of progressively responsible experience in financial accounting or a closely related field.
