Accountant II (Littleton)

About the role
As an Accountant II on LONG's Accounting team, you will be an experienced team member responsible for ensuring accurate accounting and streamlining processes within our department. Your duties will cover a range of accounting tasks, including Month-End Close, Financial Review, and Accounts Payable.
Responsibilities
- Perform Month-End Close processes and reconcile various balance sheet accounts.
- Review monthly financial statements, job cost reports, and status reports.
- Serve as an accounting resource for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
- Assist with testing, documentation, and implementation during the ongoing ERP implementation.
- Help develop and document accounting procedures.
- Gain experience in supporting different areas within the Accounting Department.
- Maintain, develop, and document procedures and checklists.
- Reconcile associated balance sheets as a part of month-end close.
- Work with different departments to provide information regarding budgeting and accounting processes in the operating system.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting and 3+ years of accounting experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Self-motivated with the ability to take ownership of projects while supporting the team's objectives.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to work independently and focus on finding solutions.
- Highly detail-oriented, able to spot discrepancies, identify errors, and correct mistakes using various tools and strategies.
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel at an intermediate level.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Enjoy working on a variety of tasks and challenges.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency with Microsoft D365 Finance & Operations or other Accounting and ERP Software.

Pay
$30 - $40 per hour, plus potential profit share.
Physical Requirements
- This position may involve sitting for extended periods, lifting, bending, and kneeling.
- May require lifting up to 25 lbs. from floor to countertop and countertop to floor.
