Account Manager II (Remote)

Responsibilities

  • Drive growth and engagement by marketing directly to client associates and executing impactful communication and education strategies.
  • Build and maintain strong, consultative relationships with senior-level decision-makers and provide expert guidance on benefit design, renewal strategies, and implementation planning.
  • Independently conduct on-site and virtual meetings with employers and employees across multiple locations, traveling in and out of the state to deliver high-touch service and ensure client satisfaction.
  • Solve complex challenges using benefit expertise and business acumen, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to deliver timely, effective solutions.
  • Partner with clients to develop and implement structured benefit programs, including open enrollment campaigns, wellness initiatives, and third-party integrations.
  • Stay ahead of regulatory changes and industry trends, educating clients on legal developments and ensuring benefit programs remain compliant with federal and state laws.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelors degree preferred OR 4 additional years of relevant experience.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years in sales, account management, benefit administration, or implementation.
  • Licenses/Certifications: Active health and life insurance license for Maryland, DC, and Virginia is required.
  • Knowledge, Skills And Abilities (KSAs): Exceptional communication and presentation skills, strong problem-solving and organizational abilities, proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; PowerPoint a plus, deep understanding of employee benefits and insurance regulations, ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver outstanding service under pressure.

Travel Requirements

  • Approximately 10% travel year-round (local and national).
  • Up to 40% travel during Q4 to support peak enrollment season.

Pay

Salary Range: $52,000 - $84,500
