Account Executive - Strategic
About the role
The Strategic Account Executive serves as the primary point of contact between S&S Activewear and its Strategic Account customers, which have been defined as organizations with multiple locations requiring multi-geography sales coverage, sales spend volume or potential sales spend volume of $1 MM or greater and embraces engaging in unique strategic solutions outside of product and price. This role focuses on building and maintaining long-term relationships with clients, while utilizing S&S Activewear’s resources to foster deeper partnerships. Responsible for growing revenue, gross profit dollars, market share and for creating barriers to change within the assigned accounts through consultative sales methods, strong customer executive relationships, and solutions that impact the customers’ businesses.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced business consultant, adept at delivering presentations and training sessions to major customers across various levels. This role will drive improvements in business processes, product and service deployment, planning, resource allocation, and overall customer satisfaction. The role will work in conjunction with Account Managers, Customer Service, and Region Sales teams to design, implement, and manage solutions for customers at both the HQ and local levels.
Responsibilities
- Create, document, and manage account-specific strategies.
- Architect and manage strategic account relationships, including establishing significant relationships with C-level and other decision-makers within each assigned account.
- Manage time and schedule to ensure regular physical and virtual meetings with key individuals within each account.
- Maintain an intimate understanding of every customer’s business model, challenges, goals, and vision.
- Work collaboratively with internal departmental resources, customer resources, and third-party strategic partners to create, implement, and manage impactful solutions.
- Direct the activities of Region Sales Teams, Account Managers, and Customer Service to drive sales strategies through specific tasks.
- Coordinate members of the S&S Sales, Commercial, and Executive Leadership Teams, as needed, to assist with elements of the account strategies.
- Communicate account-specific strategy status with VP of Strategic Accounts and provide updates to customer resources to ensure timely adoption rates.
- Facilitate Quarterly Business Reviews with every account, typically in person.
- Hold monthly strategy sessions with Account Managers.
- Maintain a high level of presence at industry trade shows.
Requirements
- BA/BS required; MS, MA, or MBA preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in a consultative sales position.
- Advanced business acumen.
- Advanced organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to productively interact with all levels of an internal and external organization.
- Experience creating and executing eBusiness strategies.
- Exceptional written and verbal presentation skills, including public speaking.
- Strong analytical, sales, marketing, and communication skills.
- Advanced capabilities utilizing MS Office Suite and ability to rapidly learn other job-related software.
- Ability to help facilitate and manage high-level IT integration projects.
- Strong financial skills and understanding, with the ability to create business cases and P&L for proposed solutions.
- Advanced understanding of all departmental tactical functions and the ability to interact on a high level with all internal and external departmental resources.
- Advanced knowledge of the Promotional Products industry (Apparel & Hard Goods) preferred.
- Willingness to travel – 60%.

Salaried compensation based on experience.
