About the role

This role involves selling Canon's hardware and software technology-based solutions within an assigned account list. The role requires living within a reasonable commuting distance to New York, NY.

Responsibilities

  • Develop strategies to penetrate accounts with key decision-makers within the assigned account list.
  • Place Canon equipment and solutions in new accounts.
  • Report customer activity to management, identifying customer requirements, competitive trends, and changing environments.
  • Create strategic plans to address customer requirements on a local basis, including short-term and long-term goals.
  • Provide marketing, technical, and administrative support to internal departments of named accounts to ensure outstanding relations and excellent customer support.
  • Develop plans to introduce and place Canon technology, service, software, and third-party solutions to address customer requirements.
  • Establish high-level relationships with the customer base to enhance long-term working partnerships.
  • Gain new market share through strategic prospecting and meeting customer requirements by utilizing all available resources efficiently.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree Required, plus 3-5 years of related experience.
  • Experience in office technology, business-to-business, and outside sales.
  • Strong communication skills, including the desire to build solid working relationships.
  • An interest in learning new technology in an evolving industry.
  • The ability to work autonomously and excellent time management skills.

Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record necessary due to some travel required within a local market.

Skills & Expertise

  • Bachelor's Degree Required, plus 3-5 years of related experience.
  • Experience in office technology, business-to-business, and outside sales.
  • Strong communication skills, including the desire to build solid working relationships.

Pay

Average annual base salary range: $50,000 - $63,160. Anticipated incentive compensation: $62,869 annually.

Schedule

Hybrid work schedule requiring occasional in-office attendance and remote availability to customers. Specific work schedules and office reporting requirements may change based on business needs.
