About the role

The Account Executive discovers opportunities, maintains the company and contact database, and provides engineering and manufacturing solutions to customers.

• Contact and meet regularly with current and prospective customers to develop and maintain relationships
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking, prospecting, and market research
• Travel required 25–50% of the time
• Enter, review, and update company and contact information
• Prepare lists of prospective customers and research current market information
• Understand and review drawings, 3D models, and bills of material for quoting projects
• Prepare estimates in Excel tailored to customer needs
• Monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform strategic decisions
• Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing departments to ensure accurate quotes and project handoffs
• Consult with department leads on customer-required specifications
• Prepare exhibitor lists, attend, and represent the company at trade shows
• Report weekly on open opportunities, proposals, and obstacles to sales
• Maintain proficiency in manufacturing and engineering terminology

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license and good driving record
• Ability to read and interpret documents, write routine reports, and speak effectively before groups
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project)
• Technologically adept with smart devices
• Analytical skills to track account performance and make data-driven decisions
• Knowledge of machinery, equipment, or materials, or a combination of education and experience that provides the required skills and knowledge
