About the role

This position is responsible for providing incoming and continuing Edgewood University adult and graduate students with exceptional service while assisting them with every aspect of the enrollment and graduation processes including but not limited to course registration, academic support, financial aid, and disability & accessibility services. The incumbent will be responsible for executing Edgewood University's enrolled student communication strategy and utilizing the college's software system to collect, synthesize, and present student persistence and retention data to key college stakeholders. This position is hybrid with three days per week required to work on campus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional service to a caseload of 250-300 assigned students by executing Edgewood University's enrolled student communication strategy and leveraging technology to support student communication and organization of student records
  • Collaborate closely with Adult and Graduate Admissions team as a key part of the new student enrollment process and attend recruitment events, registration events, and open houses as necessary
  • Collaborate as needed with faculty, program coordinators, and other Edgewood University offices to ensure a quality student experience
  • Work closely with each assigned student to develop and revise as necessary an academic plan that enables each student to graduate with the credential they are seeking within their desired time frame
  • Responsible to ensure budgeted retention and persistence targets are met or exceeded each semester
  • Organize and host individual student meetings to cover college resources, registration process, onboarding, learning management system, disability and accessibility services, user creation, location of in person classroom, and any other information the student may need to be successful
  • Must have open availability during peak student service times understanding that the week prior to each start and the week of each start may require additional night and weekend work outside of normal business hours in order to meet student needs
  • Ability to obtain, track, and analyze student retention and persistence data including early alert data
  • Ability to present student retention and persistence data to key stakeholders
  • Use data to advocate for student centric changes and to project student credit hour enrollment for each budget cycle

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Minimum 1 year experience as part of a cross-functional customer service team (previous higher education experience preferred)
  • Previous experience utilizing software/technology to facilitate the organization of records and communication
  • Ability to excel in a fast paced, data-driven environment where success is measured by production metrics
  • Efficient use of tools within Microsoft office—especially outlook and excel
  • Effective interpersonal skills, maturity, professional image, positive attitude, and the ability to develop productive relationships with students, teammates, and other offices on campus
  • Outstanding customer service skills
