About the role
The Space and Defense Group within Moog is seeking an Assembly & Test (A&T) Engineering Technician to join their team. This role reports to the Sr. Operations Coordinator and works on an onsite schedule in East Aurora, NY.
Responsibilities
- Perform development hydraulic tests and assemblies approximately 40-50% of the time to meet department requirements and turnaround times.
- Provide engineering support to solve complex problems on a complex product line and serve as the primary point of contact for Assembly & Test personnel.
- Offer technical guidance to Assembly & Test personnel and act as an assembly process expert for inquiries from all functions, using strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Support Assembly & Test operations by conducting product and process improvement projects.
- Ensure product integrity of all hardware on the product line through failure investigations and escalations when necessary, employing hands-on troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Provide clear production instructions to Assembly & Test personnel, including formal Work Instructions and Electronic Historical Record (EHR) entries.
- Occasionally work additional hours to support program goals and product demand as needed.
Requirements
- A High School diploma or GED, or equivalent demonstrated ability to understand and apply verbal, written, and computer work instructions in English.
- Demonstrated ability to perform simple addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- At least 5 years of relevant A&T experience.
- An accredited technical degree is preferred.
