About the role

The Arcis Golf team is seeking a Spray Tech/Assistant Superintendent to join our dynamic and inclusive team at The Dominion Country Club in San Antonio, TX. This position is responsible for maintaining the quality and appearance of the golf course through the application of various turf maintenance treatments.

Responsibilities

• Apply pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers to maintain the health and appearance of the golf course turf.
• Operate and maintain spray equipment and other turf maintenance machinery.
• Assist in the preparation and maintenance of irrigation systems.
• Participate in regular meetings with superintendents and other staff to discuss course conditions and maintenance strategies.
• Perform routine inspections and make necessary adjustments to ensure optimal turf conditions.
• Follow all safety protocols and adhere to environmental regulations.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience in turf maintenance or related field.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of turfgrass management practices and principles.
• Experience with turf maintenance equipment and irrigation systems.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Skills

• Proficiency with turf maintenance equipment.

Pay

$18.00 - $22.00 per hour based on experience.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM.
