The District is seeking 12 individuals for the position of Extensive Support Needs Credential Required for Special Day Classes for students with Autism at various elementary/K8 school sites.
About the role
This position is open until filled and applications are accepted weekly. Screening occurs every Tuesday, and applications should be submitted by Sunday midnight to be considered for the week. The position is located at various sites including Carriage, Mariemont, Kingswood, and two locations labeled Lichen.
Responsibilities
- Support students with Autism in special day classes
- Implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals
- Provide behavioral support and interventions
- Assist with daily classroom management
- Participate in team meetings and professional development
Requirements
- Valid California teaching credential in Special Education, preferably for Special Day Classes
- Experience working with students with Autism
- Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Special Education or related field
- Experience with data collection and analysis
- Knowledge of educational technology and its integration into instruction
Skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Pay
The salary range for this position is $60,000 - $126,000 annually. Candidates must be internal employees to be placed on Column 5; for external candidates, the maximum placement is Column 4.
Schedule
The length of the work year is 10 months, with 186 days per year, 5 days per week, and a professional work day.
