The San Juan Unified School District is seeking a part-time teacher (Elementary / Secondary), middle school, or K-8 counselor/teacher librarian for the 2026-27 school year. This position is available at Twin Lakes.

About the role

This position is a part-time role, equivalent to 0.8 FTE. The salary range for fully credentialed staff is $60,000 - $126,000 annually. Additional pay opportunities include:

• $5,000 - $14,000 annual stipends for hard-to-staff Special Education positions
• $2,000 annual stipends for the hard-to-staff positions of counselor, social worker, and teacher librarian
• $3,000 annual stipend for advanced degrees
• $1,000 - $4,500 annual stipends for various extra-curricular activities
• $1,500 - $6,000 annual stipends for various "leadership" roles

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include:

• Teaching and supporting students in the classroom
• Collaborating with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum
• Maintaining student records and reporting
• Participating in professional development and meetings

Requirements

Requirements include:

• A bachelor's degree in education or a related field
• Valid teaching credential or eligibility for credentialing
• Experience working with students in the relevant grade level(s)
