About the Internship

S&ME is a leading, employee-owned, multi-disciplined professional services firm that responds to clients with innovative, sustainable solutions. The 2027 Spark Summer Internship Program is open to current students from a variety of different educational backgrounds and career focus. Internship opportunities are available across various Service Lines including: Civil Engineering, Construction Services and Materials Testing, Environmental Services and Industrial Hygiene, Geotechnical Engineering, and Transportation Design-Build.

As part of the program, you will work alongside experienced professional and technical employee-owners within your area of interest. You will be part of an intern cohort and will learn about all aspects of S&ME. The internship provides invaluable hands-on experience, access to technical experts across the company, and professional development to help you transition from campus to career.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a related degree program
• Rising Juniors, Seniors, or Graduate students preferred
• Related experience and/or campus, community, work-related leadership experience preferred
• At least 18 years of age
• Out of town travel may be required
• For technical roles, the ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions is required
• Routine lifting may be required: 40 to 50 lbs.

Pay & Schedule

• Full-time, internship positions for a twelve-week period from May 2027 through August 2027
• Competitive pay based on experience
• Housing or a housing stipend will not be provided
