About the role

The Special Education Instructional Facilitator (SEIF) is responsible for supporting special education teachers in implementing effective instructional strategies and interventions. This role requires a deep understanding of special education principles and practices.

Responsibilities

  • Supports teachers in developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Collaborates with special education teachers to provide professional development opportunities.
  • Evaluates student progress and provides feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Assists in the development and implementation of differentiated instruction strategies.
  • Maintains accurate records and documentation related to special education services.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Special Education or related field.
  • Valid teaching license from the Nevada Department of Education.
  • Experience working with students with disabilities.
  • Knowledge of state and federal special education laws and regulations.

Qualifications

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse group of professionals.
  • Proficiency in using technology to support special education programming.
