About the role
The Special Education Instructional Facilitator (SEIF) is responsible for providing support to special education teachers and students within the designated school.
Responsibilities
- Supports teachers in implementing effective instructional strategies for students with diverse needs.
- Mentors and coaches special education teachers to enhance their instructional practices.
- Collaborates with other special education staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Assists in the assessment and monitoring of student progress towards IEP goals.
- Participates in professional development activities to stay current with best practices in special education.
Requirements
- Must be in the SEIF pool.
- Valid teaching license from the Nevada Department of Education.
- Certified in relevant subject area.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Special Education or related field.
- At least two years of successful teaching experience in special education.
- Experience working with students with disabilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Skills
- Knowledge of special education laws and regulations.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team.
- Proficiency in using technology to support instruction and data collection.
