About the role

The Teacher Special Ed Instructional Facilitator is responsible for providing specialized instruction and support to students with special educational needs within the K-12 QSP program. This role requires a deep understanding of special education principles and practices.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students based on their unique needs.
  • Collaborate with other educators, parents, and specialists to design and deliver effective instructional strategies.
  • Assess student progress regularly and adjust teaching methods accordingly.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in special education.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field.
  • A valid teaching license in Special Education.
  • At least two years of relevant experience working with students with special educational needs.
  • Experience in developing and implementing IEPs.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of state and federal special education laws and regulations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in using technology to support special education instruction.

  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
