About the role
The Special Education Instructional Coach will support teachers in implementing effective instructional strategies that meet the diverse needs of students with disabilities. This position will also assist in developing and maintaining a positive learning environment.
Responsibilities
- Support teachers in understanding and applying special education laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Provide professional development opportunities on best practices in special education instruction.
- Evaluate teacher effectiveness and provide feedback to improve instructional practices.
- Assist in the development and implementation of school-wide special education initiatives.
Requirements
- Certification in Special Education.
- Experience working with students with disabilities.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field.
- Master's degree in Special Education preferred.
- Experience in coaching and mentoring educators.
Skills
- Knowledge of special education laws and regulations.
- Ability to facilitate professional development workshops.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.

Pay
- $50,000 - $60,000 annually based on experience and qualifications.
Schedule
- Full-time position.
- Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM.
