About the role
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing specialized instruction to students with disabilities within Robertson County Schools. This position requires a certified special education teacher who can adapt teaching methods to meet the unique needs of each student.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students based on their specific needs and goals.
- Collaborate with other educators, parents, and related service providers to support student learning and development.
- Assess student progress regularly and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.
- Participate in professional development activities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge of special education best practices.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in special education or a related field.
- A valid teaching license in special education.
- Experience working with students with disabilities.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and maintain positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of federal and state laws related to special education.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities.
