About the role

White House Heritage Elementary School is seeking a certified Special Education teacher to join our dedicated team for the 2026-2027 school year. The ideal candidate will have expertise in special education and be able to support students with diverse needs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students based on their unique learning needs.
• Collaborate with other educators, parents, and related service providers to ensure comprehensive support for students.
• Provide differentiated instruction to meet the diverse academic and social-emotional needs of students.
• Assess student progress regularly and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in special education.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field.
• A current teaching license/certification in Special Education.
• Experience working with students with disabilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of state and federal special education laws and regulations.
• Experience with assistive technology and accommodations.
• Ability to manage a classroom effectively and maintain a positive learning environment.
