Cheatham Park Elementary School is seeking a Special Education Teacher to join our dedicated team for the 2026-2027 school year. This position offers an opportunity to make a significant impact on students' educational journeys.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals for students.
• Collaborate with other special education teachers, general education teachers, and school staff to provide a comprehensive educational program.
• Assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
• Participate in IEP meetings to discuss and revise students' educational plans.
• Provide necessary accommodations and modifications to support students' learning needs.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field.
• A valid teaching certificate in Special Education.
• At least two years of successful teaching experience in a special education setting.
• Knowledge of state and federal special education laws and regulations.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Ability to manage diverse classroom environments and adapt instruction to meet individual student needs.
• Experience with technology integration in special education settings.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $45,000 - $55,000 annually, commensurate with experience.

Schedule
