About the role

Greenbrier Middle School seeks a certified Special Education teacher for the 2026 - 2027 school year. The position is available at 2450 Highway 41 South, Greenbrier, TN 37073.

Responsibilities

• Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) to support students' academic, social, and emotional growth.
• Collaborate with other special education teachers, general education teachers, and school staff to provide a comprehensive educational program.
• Assess student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly to meet diverse learning needs.
• Participate in IEP meetings to develop and review students' educational goals.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal special education laws and regulations.

Requirements

• Masters degree in Special Education or related field.
• Valid Tennessee teaching certificate in Special Education.
• Experience working with students with disabilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of current special education practices and trends.
• Experience with assistive technology and accommodations.
• Proficiency in using educational software and tools.
