About the role

Jo Byrns High School is seeking a certified School Counselor to join our dedicated team for the 2026 - 2027 school year. Located at 7025 Highway 41 North in Cedar Hill, TN 37032.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling services to students
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support student success
• Develop and implement counseling programs to address student needs
• Assist in the referral process for students who may need additional support
• Maintain accurate records and documentation as required by law and school policy

Requirements

• Master's degree in Counseling or related field
• Valid teaching license or equivalent certification
• Experience working with adolescents and families
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

• Knowledge of adolescent development and mental health issues
• Understanding of educational policies and procedures
• Strong organizational and time management skills
