About the role

The School Counselor will provide individual and group counseling services to students, facilitate classroom guidance lessons, and collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to support student academic, career, and personal/social development.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling sessions to students
• Facilitate classroom guidance lessons
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to support student development
• Assist in developing and implementing school-wide programs
• Participate in parent-teacher conferences and other meetings as needed

Requirements

• Masters degree in School Counseling from an accredited institution
• Current teaching certification in Tennessee
• Experience working with adolescents
• Knowledge of adolescent development and mental health issues
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Qualifications

• Experience in a school setting preferred
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Skills

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively with diverse populations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
