About the role

Supports students in achieving academic, personal, and social development goals.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and community members to support student success.
  • Provide individual and group counseling sessions to address students' emotional and behavioral needs.
  • Develop and implement programs to promote positive school culture and climate.
  • Assess student needs and progress through various assessment tools and interventions.
  • Participate in professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Counseling or related field.
  • Master's degree in Counseling or related field preferred.
  • Valid Tennessee teaching license or ability to obtain one within six months.
  • Experience working with adolescents and families.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of adolescent development and psychology.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

Skills

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay

$50,000 - $55,000 annually based on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM.
