About the role
The successful candidate will provide comprehensive counseling services to students in grades K-8, focusing on academic, social, emotional, and personal development. They will collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support student success.
Responsibilities
- Provide individual and group counseling sessions to address students' academic, social, and emotional needs.
- Develop and implement programs to promote positive behavior and mental health awareness.
- Collaborate with teachers and parents to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Assist in the referral process for students who may need additional support beyond the school setting.
- Maintain accurate records and reports as required by state and federal regulations.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in counseling or a related field.
- A master's degree in counseling or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Current certification as a School Counselor in Tennessee.
- Experience working with elementary school-aged children.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of child development and psychology.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Schedule
