YOUTH SUPPORT WORKER
Responsibilities
- Provides direct care and supports to up to five residents, including supervision, meal preparation and transportation to appointments and activities.
- Assists with the development and implementation of individualized treatment for each resident.
- Collaborates with team members to ensure consistent and effective delivery of therapeutic care.
- Participates in staff meetings, trainings, and other career development activities.
- Maintains accurate and complete resident records, including progress notes and incident reports.
Requirements
- A high school or high school equivalency diploma and one year of experience working with individuals with I/DD in a group setting; OR
- An associate or bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a field that is unrelated to social work or psychology and six months’ experience working with individuals with I/DD in a group setting; OR
- An associate or bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in social work, psychology or a related field.
Qualifications
- Knowledgeable of child development, behavior management, and therapeutic techniques.
- Can work both independently and as part of a team.
- Exhibits excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Has a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
