About the role
We are seeking passionate individuals to join our team as a Direct Support Professional | Youth Support Worker at STAS Homes – Kerri's House. Our goal is to provide a safe, supervised, and structured residential setting for at-risk adolescents.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct care and support to up to five residents, including supervision, meal preparation, and transportation to appointments and activities.
- Aid in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for each resident.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure consistent and effective delivery of therapeutic care.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and other career development activities.
- Maintain accurate and complete resident records, including progress notes and incident reports.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in social work or psychology with one year of experience in direct care for youth in a behavioral health agency or institutional setting.
- High School diploma holders with a minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience will also be considered.
- A valid driver's license with a clean standing over the past (6) months is required.
Physical & Drug Screening, Criminal Record History, FBI, and Child Abuse History Clearances
All new hires are required to successfully complete Safety Crisis Management (SCM) certification within one week of hire.
Training Overview
- Duration: The SCM program spans three days.
- Physical Demands: Active participation in physically demanding activities is necessary.
Pay
$18.50 per hour
Schedule
Availability for all three shifts (7am-3pm, 3pm-11pm, 11pm-7am)
