YOUTH PASTOR - NEXT GEN PASTOR/DIRECTOR

About the role

The Associate Pastor – Next Gen is a broad position with a primary focus on student ministries (6th-12th Grades). The primary purpose of this role is to support, encourage, and implement Faith Covenant Church’s philosophy of ministry that focuses on discipling people of all ages. The goal is to help people look more like Jesus every day in every way, fulfilling this vision within the congregation and community.

This position is designed to help grow in the six priorities of Christ: the centrality of God’s Word, intentional relationships, a Biblical group image, an atmosphere of love, a right concept of Christ, and prayerful dependence. It plays an integral role in the overall leadership and health of the church.

As a growing church, counseling, mentoring, and shepherding all members and guests are key responsibilities. The chief focus is to reach out and impact youth throughout the church and the community.

Responsibilities

• Support and implement the church’s philosophy of ministry for discipling people of all ages.
• Raise up and support volunteer leaders in their personal walk with Christ and in ministry.
• Provide counseling, mentoring, and shepherding to members and guests.
• Lead and grow student ministries (6th-12th Grades) within the church and community.

Qualifications

• A born-again believer in Christ, passionate and knowledgeable about God’s Word, believing the Bible is the absolute truth and guide to salvation and living like Jesus.
• Represents the characteristics of a Pastor as set forth in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9.
• Minimum 7 years of experience as a pastor, director, or leading youth ministry.
• Currently discipling others in your ministry context.
• Solid verbal, written, conflict management, and computer skills.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of those you shepherd.
• Valid Driver’s License, no criminal record, and ability to pass a background check.

Pay

$60,000–$64,000 per year
