The Youth Nonprofit Thought Leadership Writer role is seeking a skilled writer based in the United States. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Create high-quality content for annual reports, organizational publications, and strategic communication initiatives.
  2. Develop compelling case studies highlighting organizational impact, partner achievements, and success stories.
  3. Ghostwrite thought leadership articles and executive content based on interviews, briefs, and subject matter expert insights.
  4. Conduct interviews with internal stakeholders, nonprofit leaders, and partner organizations to gather meaningful perspectives.
  5. Translate complex nonprofit, youth development, education, and social impact topics into engaging and accessible content.
  6. Audit writing style to reflect different contributor voices while maintaining consistency and authenticity.
  7. Collaborate with communications and leadership teams throughout the editorial development process.
  8. Incorporate feedback from stakeholders and editors while maintaining strong storytelling quality.
  9. Ensure all content aligns with brand guidelines, messaging objectives, and accuracy standards.
  10. Produce a range of deliverables, including thought leadership articles, website content, newsletters, executive communications, and social impact storytelling materials.

Requirements include:

  • Demonstrated experience as a writer creating thought leadership content, strategic communications materials, case studies, reports, or similar publications.
  • Background working with nonprofits, foundations, associations, community-focused organizations, or other mission-driven sectors.
  • Strong understanding of youth development, education, philanthropy, fundraising, or nonprofit operations.
  • Exceptional storytelling and interviewing skills, with the ability to transform conversations and insights into engaging written content.
  • Experience writing content intended for public audiences, media placement, or executive visibility.
  • Ability to adapt tone and style across multiple contributors and communication formats.
  • Strong research, editing, and organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Experience in strategic communications, public affairs, or similar fields.
  • Familiarity with LinkedIn thought leadership programs and digital content strategies.
  • Ability to deliver polished, publication-ready content while working independently in a remote environment.
