Freelance Writer – Thought Leadership & Storytelling for CEO
Role & Responsibilities
Thought Leadership Writing: Develop blog posts, LinkedIn articles, and op-eds that establish the CEO as a leading voice in venture, innovation, and ecosystem building.
Founder & Ecosystem Storytelling: Craft engaging profiles, case studies, and interviews that highlight startup successes and the impact of Plug In Ventures.
Content Series Development: Support a structured series (e.g., “10 Years of Impact” or “The Future of Inclusive Innovation”) with compelling narratives and data-driven insights.
Ghostwriting & Editing: Work closely with the CEO to refine their voice, turning ideas and conversations into polished content.
Miscellaneous Writing Needs: Support newsletters, press releases, and website updates as needed.
What We're Looking For
- Strong storytelling & journalistic skills – Ability to translate complex ideas into accessible, engaging content.
- Experience in startups, venture capital, or tech ecosystems – Understanding of funding, entrepreneurship, and innovation trends.
- Portfolio of thought leadership pieces, blog posts, or op-eds – Examples of writing that drive influence and engagement.
- Ability to work independently & collaboratively – Comfortable refining the CEO’s ideas into written content.
- SEO & content marketing knowledge (a plus) – Ability to optimize content for reach and engagement.
