About the role
The Reno-Sparks Indian Colony seeks a Full-Time Youth Mentor Program Assistant to work closely with young people, contributing to a customer-focused culture that values integrity and problem-solving.
Responsibilities
- Support daily operations, including managing phone communications, data entry, and processing program paperwork.
- Aid in planning and implementing engaging activities for youth groups.
- Attend meetings and events to foster a sense of community.
- Contribute to research focused on youth outreach, prevention, and civic engagement.
- Collaborate with other departments to enhance youth involvement in various programs.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED.
- Prior experience in youth programming preferred.
- Willingness to attend program meetings, classes, activities, and conferences.
- Ability to be a positive role model for youth and support youth as leaders in their community.
- Proficiency in preparing written reports and delivering presentations to diverse audiences.
- Computer proficiency, including audio manipulation, photo editing (Photoshop, Publisher, Adobe), and social media platforms (Facebook, YouTube, Instagram).
- A valid driver’s license, ability to be bonded, and passing a security background check and drug test.
Qualifications
- Must have a high school diploma or GED.
- Preferred experience working with youth and youth programming.
- Willingness to attend program meetings, classes, activities, and conferences.

- Ability to operate a personal computer with various programs.
- Experience with audio manipulation software.

- A valid driver’s license able to be bonded.

Pay
The expected pay for this role ranges from $15.71 to $19.32 per hour, depending on experience, reflecting our commitment to recognizing your contributions.
