About the role

Discovery Ranch South is a relationship-based residential treatment center that offers therapeutic experiences for teenage students. Located near recreational parks and overlooking Cedar City, Utah, the center focuses on experiential therapy activities like horseback riding, skiing, hiking, and rock climbing.

Responsibilities

On-Call Mentors play a crucial role in maintaining safety, structure, and continuity of care. They are trained to step in during critical moments, ensuring clients and staff receive the support needed. Key responsibilities include:

• Ensuring safety and structure in the residential program
• Providing support during critical moments
• Building rapport with students through shared experiences
• Working in a team setting to support the healing process

Requirements

Qualifications for this role include:

• Pass a background check and motor vehicle check
• Hold a current Utah driver's license
• Be CPR/First Aid certified within 30 days of employment and Aegis trained
• Have effective time management, boundaries, and good listening skills
• Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
• Be physically fit and capable of completing tasks in various weather conditions
• Adhere to rules and regulations

Pay

Starting pay is $17.00 per hour.
